'Bama Beatdown

BCS National Title Game Review

Don't let the 42-14 Alabama score fool you, it wasn't that close. The Crimson Tide crushed Notre Dame and yielded some nice fantasy performances out of it - but none were enough to effect the final outcome, however. Game MVP/George's Alabama RB Eddie Lacy (pictured) scored 21 points helped by a pair of TDs while Chip WR Amari Cooper (pictured) also scored twice enroute to a big night leading the scoring parade. None of us were dumb enough to own any Notre Dame players.

(GEORGE) RB Lacy, Alabama 19 points
(CHIP) WR Cooper, Alabama 17 points

Final scoring:
1. DAVID 232
2. PATRICK 223
3. CHIP 211
4. GEORGE 199
5. J.D. 198*

*Scoring Adjustment: Receiver Justin Hardy from ECU was left off JD's roster, leaving him with seven receivers. He had been chosen in the eighth round, and was overlooked. I must have missed him when I entered the rosters in. Hardy, who caught a TD with 59 yards in the New Orleans Bowl, has now been entered in with the adjusted total (see previous post) which is +8 points. Sorry about that, I suck.

Fantasy Bowl Trivia Note: David wins his third championship doing it with the exact same point total Chip won with, one year ago.
Congrats to Patrick, who posted a point total that would have won it most years. He was the first to 100 points and I think, also to 200 nearly leading wire to wire. Excellent job, mate! It was a battle to the end.

Check back tomorrow for the All-Fantasy College Bowl Team and more ...
