WELCOME BACK
The helmets were hung by the bowl schedule with care ...
A few notes:
1) Welcome to our newest member Shane Preston, who joins our gang. The hope is that he gets infected like the rest of us and falls in love with this addiction. To say that Shane was snakebit on draft night with our random card system is almost as much an understatement in the way that the Black Death was a bit of a drag in the dark ages. He still showed his chops with a crazy-formidable roster despite the circumstances, and will be a great new addition to the tradition.
2) TIE-BREAK. In the event of a tie-break need, we will use total yards by the teams in question. It is hard to imagine that after 20 players two - or hopefully not - three teams, are deadlocked with the same amount of points, but it's better to expect the unexpected. In case there is a tie following the conclusion of the bowls, we will use total yards gained for all the players on each team.
3) Thanks again for being a part of this. I need $20 from everyone but Chip. Email, text or call if you need my address in case I don't see you.
4) I will load up the rosters ASAP. Thanks for your patience. If you see a mistake with a name, school or position, let me know and I will correct it. Also I will post a free agent list of notable guys not picked that you can use if for any reason a player needs to be swapped or if you get a feeling on someone.
You can make the move A) If you want, for no reason but a second-guess B) You know in advance someone was suspended or is injured C) If the player did not play and the game already was played. Either way, it is no big deal. Twenty guys is hard to keep track of, especially when so many players we are using, are new names to us. But you can't swap a guy if he played and was either hurt or benched after kickoff.
5) If you see a mistake with scoring let me know. Math without a fantasy website can be daunting for this liberal arts major but I assure you, it is not intentional!
6) Payout - of the $120 collected, 1st place wins $80, 2nd place $40. Third place wins a hearty handshake. I know the purse seems like it should be more, but to come close after this month-long marathon is over, deserves more than just their money back.
