Comin' Up Roses

Rose Bowl Review

Good for MSU. Seriously.

There weren't plenty of points to be had, but a few sneaky plays prevailed despite the old-school bowl play that involved, I don't know, actual tackling and stuff.

Despite two fundamental defenses at work as a sober antidote to the video game on crack scoring we've seen at times, both running backs Jeremy Langford (top) of MSU (more than 100 yards, TD) and Stanford's Tyler Gaffney (bottom, 91 rushing yards, TD) cracked double digits.

Alas, nobody owned game MVP Connor Cook.
