Tyler Petty & The Heartbreakers

Fiesta Bowl Review

The scoreboard never got to "Tilt" status, but it wasn't far from it.

An offensive point buffet took place in the Baylor-Central Florida game which filled the highlight reels (and gave future how-not-to-tackle instructional video makers some great content) sent fantasy college bowl shockwaves through our very ranks.

Baylor QB Tyler Petty had one of the all-time great bowl performances in defeat with 356 yards passing and two scores with three touchdown runs. Plus, a two-point conversion run was added in, just for fun.
Despite Petty's magic, none of the other Baylor players owned (inexplicably) enjoyed any luck at all.

Central Florida's combo of QB Blake Bortles (above, yo) with 301 passing/ three TDs through the air and 93 rushing with another score and RB Storm Johnson (124 yards and three TDs) led the Knights' upset and wrecked the box score as well.

Thanks to Petty, Bortles and Johnson, JD's point total jumped 84 combined points with his three players putting him in position to possibly take it all thanks to a gonzo night, while the other three players owned in the game combined for a total of nine points. Like, I know, right?

(JD) QB Petty, Baylor   34 points
(GEORGE) RB Seastrunk, Baylor  5 points
(DAVID) WR Goodley, Baylor   2 points
(CHIP) WR Reese, Baylor   2 points
(JD) QB Bortles, UCF    26 points
(JD) RB Johnson, UCF   24 points
