| Kyle Allen, making No.10 look good. |
Even the most enlightened luddite has to admit a fondness
for the spread offense -when played well.
To wit: Texas A&M 45, West Virginia 37 in a down-to-the-last-bullet shootout.
Team Chip's QB replacement Kyle Allen lit the box score ablaze with 294 yards, four touchdown strikes and another rushing.
Allen was picked up as a replacement for Stanford's QB Hogan prior to kickoff.
Leading the West Virginia side was another QB unknown, this time with Team Herbie's Trickett replacement Skyler Howard who passed for 346 plus a trio of scores.

This one even had a sideline coach from A&M taking liberties.
Very WWE (and I say it like it's not a bad thing).
(CHIP) QB Allen, Texas A&M 26 points
(JD) WR Reynolds, Texas A&M 10 points
(HERBIE) QB Howard, West Virginia 18 points
(CHIP) WR White, West Virginia 12 points
