Cue the Verne Lundquist voice: "Well hello Leonard Fournette!"
Notre Dame may have won the game 31-28, but the LSU freshman won our heart.
Fournette was the game high-scorer totaling 25 points including scoring three touchdowns from an average of 65 yards per scoring play. He ran the ball for 143 on 11 carries including TD runs of 89 and 8 yards not to mention a 100-yard
kick return for a score.
Memo for Les Miles: If someone is averaging 13 yards per carry, let him touch the ball more please.
