The last two bowl games were like day-late, dollar-short mea culpas for a dog-ass season of mostly non-competitive bowl games.
Mountaineers QB Skyler Howard hung 532 yards and five touchdown passes on the Sun Devils while adding one point of rushing yardage just for kicks.
Leading the Sun Devils was QB Mike Bercovici who lifted Team Chip to second place with 418 yards passing and four scoring passes.
