Texas Toast

Blue blew by you: Ex-Team Pat RB Jaydon Blue had the biggest performance of the game which NO TEAM GOT TO USE. Curses!!

 College Football Playoff Round 1:

Texas 38, Clemson 24

Orange you glad we had points? This CFB game had the old-school scoring feel to it with big names making big plays with plenty of offense like we'd have in the olden days of our fantasy bowl games. In the end Texas had too much firepower despite heroics by Clemson QB Cade Klubnik who had arguably the best QB performance of anybody from the first round.

But we gotta start with Texas RB Jaydon Blue, a former Team Patrick (ex-Pat get it?) draft pick that he dropped on a whim that put up the biggest scoring performance of the day - 177 total yards and 2 touchdowns - although part of that was due to fellow Texas RB Tre Wisner getting hurt and leaving the game early.

Klubnik (Team Dave) put on a show for Clemson with 336 yards and 3 TD passes despite the Tigers playing short-handed. RB Phil Mafah (JD) was playing hurt and re-aggravated it only touching the ball four times in a bad break for fantasy and reality fortunes.

Scoring

Texas RB Jaydon Blue (nobody) 28 points

Clemson QB Cade Klubnik (Dave) 24

Texas WR Ryan Wingo (Patrick) 3

Clemson RB Phil Mafah (JD) 2

Texas WR DeAndre Moore (Patrick) 0
