Henderson for the holidays: TreVeyon Henderson gallops through the Ducks defense. |
College Football Playoff Quarterfinals:
Ohio State 41, Oregon 21
The Rose Bowl turned into a slaughterhouse with the main course being roast duck. The numbers were astounding with OSU up 34-7 at halftime - not to mention Jeremiah Smith (Team JD) posting video game numbers of 187 and 2 touchdowns in basically just the first two quarters.
All told, Smith hit the hallowed 30-point mark for highest fantasy score of the game.
In fact, OSU - despite taking its foot off
the gas in the second half - cranked out 500 total yards to 276 for Oregon, while shutting the Ducks down to -23 rushing yards for the game including a comical -0.8 yards per rushing attempt.
In the meantime OSU QB Will Howard (Team Greg) conducted the symphony of destruction (Megadeath TM), passing for 319 yards and 3 TDs while TreVeyon Henderson (Team Greg) scored twice with 114 total yards.

Jeremiah was a bullfrog: Smith snags a pass for OSU |
He posted Buckeye-esque numbers and tied for the second-highest fantasy score of the game with 23 points.

OSU WR Jeremiah Smith (JD) 30 points
Oregon WR Traeshon Holden (Chip) 23
OSU QB Will Howard (Greg) 22.5
Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel (JD) 16.5
OSU WR Emeka Egbuka (Chip) 13
OSU RB Quinshon Jenkins (Greg) 8

Notes: And the latest bad-luck running back injury curse claimed another victim - Oregon's Jordan James (Greg).
