Popeyes Bahamas Bowl Review
Western Kentucky 49, Central Michigan 48
Seldom do words fail me, but ...
Had we seen overtime, the scoreboard may indeed have read tilt eventually.
We probably should have, but CMU Coach Dan Enos rolled the dice with a poorly executed two-point try - seconds after a heart-stopping three-lateral drill over 75 yards that made me want to write "thank you" on the memo line of my cable bill check.
For the winning squad, W.Ky QB Brandon Doughty (Team Patrick) racked up points the old-fashioned way, with his arm. He had 486 yards and 5 touchdown passes to various targets with no one receiver standing out.
AND... When it comes to receivers standing out, Titus Davis take a bow. With 142 yards and four touchdowns including three in the fourth quarter. It earns the Team Patrick pick a spot on the College Fantasy Bowl Warrior List (see right column).
