Poinsettia Bowl Review

"I have no idea how we won the game."
- Navy Coach Ken Niumatalolo

Well, that's funny. I have no idea how I watched it.

Seven turnovers and QB play so bad, a referee was hit in the head by a pass. No really.

Navy wins 17-16 thanks to a field goal miss in the biggest game of worst team wins that I've ever seen.

Midshipman QB Keenan Reynolds ran for two touchdowns extending his own NCAA record for running scores by a quarterback to 64. Too bad he failed to score yardage-wise. Yeah, you heard right. Sure, he's not a passer, but he completed 3-of-7 for 17 yards and rushed 19 times for 9 yards.

On the San Diego State side, Donnel Pumphery (155 total yards, 1 TD) was fun to watch and set the Aztec single-season rushing record at nearly 1,900 yards, but he had little help including QB Quinn Kaehler who was horrible with 11-for-27 141 and two ints.
