USU QB Kent Myers was the stat whore with 5-for-12 passing for 68 yards plus 70 yard on the ground and a score.
It was tough sledding for JD's RB Aaron Jones, who had 88 yards on 25 carries with 9 yards on three catches for the Miners.
Weird stat of the night: UTEP was 5-for-20 on third downs, 3-for-4 on fourth downs.
