Rice To Meet You

Sheraton Hawaii Bowl Review

Fresno State, otherwise known as "the team with the losing record who made a bowl game," played like it, getting run 30-6 by Rice.

Leading the way for the "Harvard of the southwest" was Driphus Jackson, who passed for 300-plus and three scores for a team that once started 0-3 to begin the year.

Two players saw action for fantasy owners and neither even cracked double-digits. Nothing to see here, move along, as the saying goes ...

That's a fact (courtesy of the AP): Fresno State (6-8), the only team with a losing record to play a bowl game this year, broke its Hawaii Bowl record for fewest points.

Fresno State scored 10 points two years ago in a lopsided loss to SMU. It was the fewest points Fresno State scored all season.
