One Mo' 'till The Show

Go Daddy Bowl Review

With the BCS Championship waiting for us tomorrow, first we were served the second of two fleabag weekend appetizers.

So, when pundits state their case to make the annual offseason argument there's too many bowl games and the quality of teams and play is terrible, the GoDaddy Bowl will be Exhibit: A.

The end of game might be used for the opposite argument. It ended with a blocked field goal by Arkansas State, providing a great finish to what was mostly four hours of terrible.

Fantasy fortunes - the top scorer was Ball State RB Jahwan Edwards (up top) with 143 yards and a touchdown.

Ball State QB Keith Wenning (right, ground) - who despite the insistence of color announcer Danny Kannell and his big regular season numbers, was/is less than good, and finished with 215 yards and one TD pass to WR Willie Snead (87 yards).

Fellow Ball State WR Jordan Williams wasn't so lucky - thanks to Wenning's awfulness and the Ark State defense, he finished with 34 yards.

Current second place squad George picked up one point from Arkansas State RB Mike Gordon who finished with 37 yards.

(CHIP) RB J. Edwards, Ball State  13 points
(SHANE) WR Snead, Ball State  10 points
(SHANE) QB Wenning, Ball State 8 points
(JD) WR J. Williams,  Ball State   1 point
(GEORGE) RB Gordon, Ark. State 1 point
